Our team was selected to provide planning and design services for the new St. Luke’s Wood River Valley Medical Office Building. The 36,000 square foot, two-story medical office building includes a 24-hour emergency department, diagnostics imaging, inpatient and outpatient surgery, intensive care and medical/surgical units, phlebotomy lab, infusion, and women’s health services. The building was designed with a steel moment-frame system and brick veneer exterior. The facility provides St. Luke’s with a new medical office building in the Wood River Valley to support the Wood River Regional Medical Center in Hailey, Idaho.
We provided detailed engineering and construction support for this project. Specifically, we provided structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing design services for the shell-and-core design phase.
Multiple tenant improvement design document packages, including the build-out of 24 exam rooms, two procedure rooms, one phlebotomy lab, one x-ray room and eight doctor’s offices followed.
Our team’s scope included shell-and-core structural calculations and design detail drawings; major mechanical systems sizing and selection and components related to the HVAC design; domestic water systems; complete snow melting design system for the north side of the building, canopies, and walkways; fire sprinkler protection system specifications; fire alarm and detection components; general arrangement; one-line diagram; lighting design; and short-circuit and load-flow studies to verify equipment configurations and ratings.
