POWER Engineers provided detailed engineering design on the 45 MW Alasehir geothermal power plant. This plant uses naturally occurring geothermal fluids to produce electricity utilizing a double flash steam turbine and binary bottoming cycle. POWER’s multi-discipline scope included complete civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and controls system design. The associated resource gathering and separation station design was also under POWER’s scope but performed by a subcontractor.
