POWER to support 50 MW wind project in Kenya
USTDA funds feasibility study for integrated wind and BESS
In its continuing efforts to improve reliability for its customers, Kenya’s Craftskills Energy Limited has launched a USTDA-funded feasibility study for the Siruai Wind Power Plant, a 50 MW wind and integrated battery energy storage system. When completed, the Siruai project will provide greater grid reliability, control of voltage, modification of load profiles, and usage of renewable energy for Kenyan customers.
Together with Delphos International, POWER has been selected to execute the study and examine the technical, financial, and commercial practicality of the project.
“POWER is excited to work with Delphos International on this important USTDA-funded opportunity in Kenya,” said Federal Global Department Manager Matt Kavanagh. “We look forward to applying our extensive renewable energy and battery storage design experience and collaborating with both our Kenyan and international partners.”
