Idaho Engineering Firm of the Year: A&E Quarterly Honors Employee-owned Company

HAILEY, IDAHO — POWER Engineers has been named the 2001 Idaho Engineering Firm of the Year, according to the McGraw-Hill A&E Quarterly. The architectural and engineering digest covering Idaho, Utah and Colorado based POWER’s top ranking on the quality of its performance and volume of work. The achievement is the latest in a string of top national and regional rankings for the Hailey-based firm.

POWER Vice President John Cavanaugh applauds the employees for the company’s ranking.

“If I have to pick one key to our success, I must credit our employees,” said Cavanaugh. “They feel they have a vested interest in the company and that they are a big part of the company’s future. Our clients can see and feel that.”

Founded in 1976 to perform electrical design on utility projects, POWER has expanded its offerings to include multidiscipline engineering, architectural and environmental services and geographic information systems. POWER Engineers provides design services to the high-tech manufacturing, health care, food processing, power generation, transmission and distribution and telecommunications industries.

In addition to its Hailey headquarters, POWER has its largest branch in Boise and eight additional offices in such major markets as Atlanta, Georgia, St. Louis, Missouri, Denver, Colorado, and Portland, Oregon. In its 26th year of operation, the company currently employs 700 people..
